Photographer Tom Phillips has created a unique series of shots, which he called “The Dead Photos”. On these photos, we can see dead men on the background of completely different landscapes. And the more the life on photos seems mundane, the more tragic seems the upside-down body lying on the pavement, in the desert or in the pool. If this is just an artistic art of saying that we all are acting like we are not alive or even the point is that the dead people bring more life or just seeing or being close to death makes feel us more alive and makes us appreciating more the value of our existence. I am not sure what the artist wants to point out but surely it is pretty bizarre and odd, but it seems like there is something odd and strange in humans nature which is making us seeking to something dark and mysterious, even our need to believe in something supernatural can be explained by our primal needs.
