There are times we must take a second look after looking at a picture, even if we were photographers. Take a look at these photographs, and you will know why. At first glance you might not see what is truly going on in these pictures, but after looking a little closer you will see how a cool illusion was created. Amazing Rock Balancing

In what must be an incredible show of patience and preciseness, there are people in this weird world we all share that make a practice of balancing seemingly implacable rocks on top of each other. The result is surreal and quiet beautiful… if for nothing more than its apparent impossibility. Rock balancing is an art, discipline, or hobby depending upon the intent of the practitioner, in which rocks are balanced on top of one another in various positions. Rock balancing can be a performance art, a spectacle, or a devotion, depending upon the interpretation by its audience. Essentially, it involves placing some combination of rock or stone in arrangements which require patience and sensitivity to generate, and which appear to be physically impossible while actually being only highly improbable. The rock balancer may work for free or for pay, as an individual or in a group, and their intents and the audiences’ interpretations may vary given the situation or the venue.

New Year in Thailand

Thai New Year is also called as Songkran. It is celebrated for three days from April 13 to April 15 every year on the Gregorian Calendar. Songkran falls on the hottest time of the year in Thailand. It comes from Sanskrit and means ‘a move or change’. The date of Thai New Year was set according to the astrological calculations. Traditions play a very vital role in presenting a true picture of New Year celebrations in Thailand. Traditional activities are performed with serious dedication by the people of Thailand. A most common tradition of throwing water over one another is performed with fun by the people. It is conceived to bring good rains all year ahead. This is called Rohd Nam Songkran, meaning ‘The Pouring of Songkran Water’. Songkran celebrations leave joy and happiness on the faces of people. After performing all customs seriously, it’s time to have some blast. A Songkran procession takes place in Chiangmai (a famous place in Thailand) on April 15. Buddha images and idols are carried through the procession. It is accompanied by people of the city singing and dancing all around. Songkran celebrations are incomplete unless water is thrown on each other. People roam the streets with buckets of water and children play with water guns to drench people. Water is thrown to get rid off all the bad deeds and give a fresh welcome to the New Year. Songkran is celebrated to refresh and renew in the New Year. While playing with water, Thais keep wishing Sawatdee pi Maï, basically Happy New Year to all the people they come across. Enjoy.

This is how one Chinese grandpa exercises with his seven-month grandson every morning… Every morning. Though, the grandfather says that it is very useful for baby’s health, it looks quite dangerous. Anyway, it is another culture. Sickening and appalling that a baby’s delicate body would be subject to those kinds of forces for such a long time. I really hope this is fake. Poor kid. One of my favorite things about traveling is seeing how English is used, or misused. Apparently I’m not alone. Most of these seem to be from Asian countries, however there are a few from other parts of the world that are just as hilarious. The Engrish signs in this Asian airport are hilariously funny. They often say things that have absolutely nothing to do with what needs to be said. And that’s what it makes so funny. More confusing yet hilarious signs that make you wonder, “what were they thinking?” I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did.

Next, actor is fitted with rotten-looking, custom-made dentures that can fit under a prosthesis.

A custom-made, foam latex prosthesis extends from actor’s forehead to his neck.

Makeup artists glue on individual body wounds.

Makeup artist next fits the greasy, sparse zombie wig to the bald cap.

Zombies have no time to shave so makeup artist adds some stubble and some disgusting dried blood around zombie’s mouth.

Lack of Imagination on Tourist’s Photos

Tourism pre-dates photography. Amateurs traveled with cameras long before photography was easy or accepted. Each place we visit has its own particular look, character, and ambiance. If we want photographs of our travels to be good and lasting, they should capture all of these qualities, and say as much about a place as give the literal look of it. Travel photography by its very nature can be inspirational and exciting, but this is not the case. Here’s a selection with some of the most predictable tourist photos ever. For some reason, tourists who are visiting popular tourist attractions seem all take the same photos. Regardless, if they are being serious or just having fun, they are all alike. Just in case you missed out on any of the most recent viral trends based on various body poses and positions, check out these photos. You never know if you could have a viral body pose tucked away inside of you. Enjoy

Planking

The progenitor. The exact origins of the term “planking” is unknown. TV personality Tom Green has claimed to have invented the phenomenon way back in 1994 (when it was called “the lying down game”), but it didn’t become the trend we know it as until recently.

Owling

Owling was another fad created in response to planking, this time by the online community Reddit. “Owlers” took things to a new level by perching themselves in precarious spots like an owl.

Leisure Diving

Leisure Diving was created by John Lewis and his friend Alex Scott, who would photograph their friends striking nonchalant poses as they dove into a pool. The trend took on a life of its own on the Internet.

Batting

Less a full on trend in its own right, batting (sometimes called batmanning) was more of a game of one-upsmanship with fans of the owling craze, and required a bit more skill to pull off successfully.

Stocking

One of the most difficult to successfully pull off but most rewarding photo trends is “stocking,” in which participants recreate a stock art photograph to the best of their abilities.

Horsemaning

One of the most difficult to pull off correctly, but most creative photo trends is horsemaning. Named after the headless horseman character in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, the origins of horsemaning go all the way back to the early 20th century.

Razorbombing

All those other photo trends a little too “last week” for you? Why not give razorbombing a go? All you need is a razor, an unwitting victim, and a good sense of perspective.
