This Russian girl was really beautiful in 2004 when she start using heroin. In next couple of years there was no big changes in her look. But in 2008 her beauty started to fade rapidly. The last photos are from this year 2010. You will see how she looks now. Not really a pleasant view.

Not that anybody in our selectively fascist society would want you to to know, but the truth in these photos lies not in the use of heroin by this woman, but in the living conditions she has no doubt gone through as a result of the social stigma and illegality associated with the use of opiates like heroin. The drug that does produce external lesions and degredation as a side effect is methampetamine, which is a dangerous chemical. Heroin, on the other hand is an opiate, which means that is has no negative physical side effects in and of itself (as long as you don’t overdose, which is something that can be done with alcohol, tylenol – in smaller doses no less – and other such non-defamed drugs). Opiates are quite possibly the safest drugs to take in the short and long term. Only pot rivals them in terms of general safety, except weed isn’t really as satisfying. My point is that this girl’s life and likely other, jury-rigged drugs (like crack or meth) are what caused her significant change in appearance. Or these are pictures of different people, who knows, propaganda is hard to distinguish from reality at times.

Have you visited Vancouver? Then write that paragraph. It’s not what the drugs do, it’s what you don’t do on the drugs. These addicts don’t eat, drink enough water, simply they are unable to take care of themselves after awhile.

    • selena

it’s both: drug addiction makes you neglect yourself: washing, eating healthy (or at all), doing stupid things to get money, etc.
but society’s stigma on drugs isn’t helping either.
and it’s a pretty stupid stigma considering alcohol is more addictive and damaging then most forbidden drugs.

Matt, opiates do have physical side effects. They can permanently damage hearing and adversely affect libido for many years. That’s not considering the route of administration. Taken in any way (including orally), they have a detrimental effect on the liver; insufflated, on the nose and lungs; and when injected, on your circulatory system, skin, lungs and associated infections.

But as you pointed out, the effects in these photos do not directly stem from the use of opiates. It could be the associated lifestyle, but more likely, from a different drug, or a different person altogether. From these photos, this woman does not look like she was using opiates, as you can see from her pupils.

saying “Opiates are quite possibly the safest drugs to take in the short and long term.” shows you have no idea what you’re talking about.

they’re just as addicting as other drugs, they mess up your body like other drugs, and they’re actually harder to stop using. you can have withdrawals for weeks and months afterward and requires watch in in-patient facilities to help with seizures and staying off the drug.

Really? Because I’ve known two people who died from heroin use and no people who have died from using aspirin or drinking alcohol. I did know someone who tried to kill himself by taking a full bottle of Tylenol. He didn’t die and is in fact fine now. Your habit is gross and makes you unattractive. Just own it and stop trying to make bogus excuses for yourself.

100% agree with Matt here. Anyone who actually has any sort of first-hand experience and knowledge with drugs knows that opiates do not do this type of physical damage on their own, and I will also agree that this looks a lot more like methamphetamine abuse, or even just purely from living conditions.

Here is a similar example and NO drug use at all:

If you want more info on this woman, it was in National Geographic.

and yet carl barat is still gorgeous after his years of heroin/cocaine/amphetamine usage.

  • A person

I think it’s time that human beings realize personal responsibility. This person wasn’t taken advantage of, this person made some choices.
Argue all you want about what effect a drug has on your body, the important thing you realize is that human beings are using their free will to consume them. That should never be any different. I don’t use any drugs legal or otherwise, but I strongly believe in the freedom to choose to do them or to not do them.

    • Bullship

You don’t use ANY drugs? I call bullshit.

      • PL

Lol, how is it hard to believe that a person doesn’t take drugs? What a weirdo you are. I’d say it’s time to change up your social circle if you are this incredulous.

        • Marked One

Depends entirely on what you classify as drugs let’s go:

          Paracetamol
          Aspirin
          Codeine
          Ibuprofen
          Caffeine
          Alcohol
          Tobacco

All appending to the fact that it had used drugs in the underworld, and I dare say, what she did to get money for drugs?

And what kind of men she met during her youth?

In a socialist society that was once where the government gave food to his people in cold months and suddenly became capitalist failing to render assistance to his people?

Where the former leaders of the party have a house, food and heating their homes … This capability but beautiful old lady had no luck finding one of these party members to marry, pimps only interested in exploring their beauty in the most convenient, as party members have toward the people, used the labor of people to generate taxes to maintain itself as a corrupt elite that feeds the best and offers nothing in return.

What about the friend who said we are condemning the social condition of the girl, has not the slightest foundation for a person who is economically underprivileged in terms of aesthetics does not decay the way the girl declined, she is a victim of post-communism Russian.

Oh my god… it was really shocking. I’ll never consume drugs… and/or aspirins…
